The Redskins take on the Giants tonight in New York for the first NFL regular season game.
Hurray!
As the NY Times correctly points out, both teams have changed so much from last year that they almost must seem like "strangers" to one another.
The Giants are favored by 4. Who will beat the spread?
Take the GIANTS. Eli Manning has grown; I'll take him over Jason Campbell any day.
I expect the Giants to be revved up, at home, on national TV, with a chip on their shoulder--remember, most analysts don't even pick the Giants, defending Super Bowl champs, to win their own division. And remember too--the Redskins have a new head coach (Jim Zorn). It almost always takes new coaches and their teams a while in the regular season to get in sync with the new system and new head man. Look for the Redskins to struggle a bit out of the gate.
