Sarah Palin and the question of judgment

So many in the mainstream media are making a big deal about the fact that John McCain met with Sarah Palin late in the game; and that Palin met with the senior member of McCain's vetting team late in the process.
Here's a good example of the mainstream media's spin.

But here's a key point: good judgment is not dependent on how long one investigates something.
Or on how long one waits before making a decision.
Sometimes it doesn't take long to know the right thing to do.
Sometimes one can tell in one's gut what to do.
