So, sure enough, Brett Favre returns to Green Bay:
"Quarterback Brett Favre rejoined the Green Bay Packers yesterday, ending his five-month retirement with plans to play this season and, apparently, a pledge from the team that he'll be given a chance to win back his starting job from would-be successor Aaron Rodgers."
Finally! My only questions: 1] What in the heck took the Packers so long? Favre gives them the best chance to win. Or, at least, I've gotta believe that's what this open competition will prove.
2] Why on earth did the Packers dig themselves such a hole, claiming they didn't want Favre? They've only made themselves look ridiculous. 3] How will this affect the Packer locker room? Don't get me wrong--there won't be division in there over Brett. The players want to win, and they know Favre gives them the best shot. They'll embrace him. But won't they have lost respect for the Packers' front office??? I sure have. 4] How will Aaron Rodgers handle all this? It will be fascinating to see how he does. I feel a little bit sorry for him. He never asked to be put in this position.
You think they'll be a few eyes watching Green Bay's first pre-season game???
