Naturally--inevitably--they wind up psychoanalyzing them. I mean, hey, to the NY Times, such people must be a little irrational, full of "cognitive dissonance" and all that. Quote: "Political scientists point to cognitive dissonance, a psychological theory sometimes applied to political behavior, as being responsible for the way some people may be reconciling reports that the war is not going well with their belief that it is going well."
Liberals have been doing this kind of thing since the days of 1950s.
