This brings to mind several possibilities: 1] That the usual infighting among Democratic Party special-interest groups has already begun; 2] That this may actually be what Obama wants--stiff the left when possible, get them speaking out...and then be able to say to the vast middle of the electorate, "See, I'm a centrist and a moderate." But also 3] aren't liberals being more than a bit impatient? I mean, Obama's already talking about a huge economic stimulus package that could run $300 billion bucks, a big public works program...
We'll see if Obama can hold his coalition together.
