ODD ALERT:
I know that some people think lawyers are trash, but...here's a lawyer who took it literally.
BASEBALL DIARY: hey, the Tigers CAN score some runs--10 last night, in fact (in only 7 innings) to beat the Brewers, 10-4. It's good to have Marcus Thames back...
Meanwhile, could Cub fortunes be turning around? For the second straight day yesterday, the Cubs rallied from a big deficit and this time beat Cleveland, 8-7. Note: for the second straight day as well, Derek Lee had a huge home run.
But the Rangers are running into some bad luck--Scott Feldman uncharacteristically struggling, a guy in a huge slump hits an unlikely homer for the Giants, Randy Johnson keeps the Rangers off-balance, and the Rangers lose in San Fran, 6-4.
IRAN UPDATE:
The protests continue today, despite warnings of dire consequences from the leaders of the current Iranian government.
Let's see if the protests continue. Note too that the Iranian opposition leader is calling for a national strike if he's arrested--that's the same kind of tactic that brought down the Shah back in 1979. What will happen this time?
