Fred Thompson nearly almost but not quite has made it official.

But it's almost certain that he's running for president, as we see again today. I think it's great that he'll be a candidate. Republicans need all the choices they can get; the more the merrier. And I suspect he'd make a good president. But he's not quite my #1 choice among Republicans. More on that in due course...
